Introducing Kat Foreman - Jewellery Maker

“I've been making jewellery on and off since I was a little girl with anything I could get my hands on, paper plastic, paperclips. I've always been obsessed with using my hands to make pretty things.”

Having studied for an Art Foundation in her home town of Cambridge, Kat soon discovered she loved the technical as well as the visual aspects of jewellery design and went on to study her BA Hons in Metalwork in Jewellery at the University of the Creative Arts in Farnham, Surrey.

Establishing her own studio soon after graduating, Kat shared her time between making and as a teacher of 3D Design crafts in a local school where she had the privilege of working with and learning from some of the most talented ceramicists practicing in the UK today. It was here that she developed a love of ceramics. and began to incorporate it into her jewellery making practice.

Now, no longer teaching Kat works out of her tiny home studio designing and making ceramic porcelain and precious metal jewellery, tying in her two favourite materials to make unique pieces that are inspired by the patterns and beauty of the world around her.
