Inspired by the sea, these unique one of a kind pendants are handcrafted from recycled sterling silver and are made up from elements collected from the other pieces in the collection, like beachcoming at my jewellery bench.
Each one of these Flotsam Pendants is totally unique. Handcrafted from flattened recycled sterling silver teaspoons and EcoSilver wire and sheet, the seven separate elements on each pendant capture the textures found on any coastal walk or adventure. These pendants are suitable for everyday wear as well as special occasions.
Hung from 50cm oxidised sterling silver chains, the pendant elements hang low and are perfect for people who like to play with their jewellery and enjoy tactile comforts of the textured surfaces. Inspired by the ripples in water, the patterns in sand and the surfaces of rocks and pebbles. These individual layers are loosely joined together to allow for movement and random positioning.
The silver is oxidised and the surfaces polished back to reveal the intricate textures within each layer. The photographs show an example of what you will receive as each pendant is handmade, the one you receive will differ from the ones photographed. Hallmarked for quality at the Edinburgh Assay Office.
Each pendant measures approx. 2.5cm x 3.5cm - sizes vary slightly
The elements within these pendants are made from the flattened bowls of British sterling silver teaspoons as well as 100% recycled EcoSilver.
Each necklace is unique, because of the spoons that are used and the handmade process, however the picture gives a good indication of the overall look of the necklace you will recieve.
Each piece of jewellery is accompanied by a branded 'Echoes Collection' card that gives details about the whole collection, the inspirations behind it as well as information about the recycled nature of the silver used.
Packaged in simple glassine bags and card boxes, all Milomade packaging is made from recycled materials and is also 100% recyclable.
Oxidised silver needs minimal cleaning and an occasional wipe with a silver cleaning cloth is sufficient. Store the piece in its glassine bag or within a ziplock bag. It is not recommended to use a silver dip solution as this will remove the oxidisation from the silver.
