Skyblue Blossom Sixpence Earrings and Tiny Tin by Leigh Shepherd

Reward points0

Beautiful floral earrings created from upcycled sixpence coins with a matching teeny tiny tin.

These earrings have been handmade with Chiyogami paper, this is a Japanese paper traditionally used in bookbinding and artwork. The ‘Skyblue Blossom’ design is inspired by the Japanese Sakura (blossom) season. It has a pale blue background with delicate boughs of red and white flowers edged in gold. As each piece is handmade slight variations from the photos will occur.

The earrings hang from sterling silver hooks. A rich glossy resin is used to finish the earrings, this protects the paper and gives a beautiful shine.

The jewellery is handmade in Haworth, West Yorkshire. A pendant is available in this design.

The earrings measure 3.75 cm from the top of the hook to the bottom of the coin. The coin itself is 2 cm in diameter.

The tin measures 5cm x 2.5cm and is 1 cm deep.
